Easy as 123! State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary:
The STNA is responsible for assisting residents and Community staff with daily living activities which may include, but are not limited to dressing, ambulating, toileting and safe transfer.
QUALIFICATIONS Current, unencumbered state certification to practice as a STATE TESTED NURSING ASSISTANT (STNA) Minimum one (1) year of STNA experience required, based on state requirement.
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing resident services Ability to compose and maintain documentation.
Current CPR certification, based on state requirements.
Copy of updated physical, based on state requirements.
Copy of updated TB results/chest x-ray Must complete a minimum of twelve (12) Continuing Education Units (CEUs) annually RESPONSIBLITIES Assist residents and nursing staff with basic care services such as bathing, grooming and feeding.
Assist nursing staff with medical equipment and checking patient vitals.
Provide residents with important social and emotional support.
Prepare and maintain records of resident progress and services performed, reporting changes in resident condition to the manager or supervisor.
Participate in case reviews, consulting with the care team, evaluating the resident needs and plan for continuing services.
Other duties as assigned.
