Job Description:
The Accounts Receivable Analyst is responsible for day-to-day financial transactions including accounts receivables, cash application and timely collections, along with various other transactional processes.
The Accounts Receivable Analyst must exercise discretion in executing essential functions and be able to work independently, following through on assignments with minimal direction.
Primary ResponsibilitiesAnalyzes and processes accounts receivable promptly.
Internal guidelines are within 24 hours of shipment or pack slip verification.
Ensures pricing has been confirmed and reconciles to both IQMS sales order and customer purchase order, with correct codes conforming to standard procedures to ensure proper entry into the financial system.
Handles all customer correspondence via phone or email related to invoicing and cash collection.
Processes all new customer maintenance requests and any shipping or bill to change requests.
Maintains proper documentation to support internal audit & control requirements within customer maintenance file in IQMS conforming to standard procedures to ensure proper entry into the financial system.
Investigates and resolves problems associated with processing of invoices and cash receipts.
Completes daily bank reconciliation timely (before 8:
15am) to ensure timely & proper application of funds received and disbursed.
Reconciles various accounts monthly, bringing any discrepancies to the attention of the Controller and CFO.
Receives, researches, and resolves a variety of routine internal and external inquiries concerning account status, including communicating the resolution of discrepancies to appropriate persons.
Files, maintains, and distributes accounting documents, records, and reports.
Assist in compiling information and preparing responses to auditors during the annual external audit.
Performs other duties as required to support Accounting DepartmentsPosition RequirementsAssociate degree or higher in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
5
years of experience in an accounts receivable role.
Demonstrates familiarity with standard concepts and practices in accounts receivable work.
5
years of experience using financial/accounting software packages.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including effective interpersonal and collaboration skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
ERP experience a plus.
Ability to multi-task.
Open to change and willing to learn new skills.
Ability to follow up on pending issues in a timely manner.
Ability to meet deadlines.
